I'm not 100% sure but i think it can, although it's less than ideal. What you can do is create an activity that includes the AV and TV SmartHub (or whatever your app menu is called). You can then add a sequence of steps [myharmony.com] to the activity that moves the focus to the YT app and selects it. You'll have to watch this all happen on your screen and if the position of the YT app in the menu changes you'll need to fix it.
You can program the buttons to do whatever you want. You can make the play button function as the stop button, long press the rewind button for chapter back, etc. If the device has the function, you can make any button carry out that function.
Friends, those of you with spouses or partners who want a simple entertainment system will love this.

My wife was fed up, wanting me to be rid of the receiver, Nvidia, and all other electronics and just get a sound bar...until I bought this.

Super easy setup and the phone works as well as the physical remote.

Thanks for posting. Will order this if Amazon doesn't price match them.
Amazon matches it. Although the product photos only show the remote control, the detail description mentions: Package Contents Harmony Hub PN 815 000101 Remote control (with battery) PN 815 000100

I have a Harmony One that I'm debating whether or not to replace.
Any thoughts about how this model compares?

We mostly use: XBOX (for Plex), AppleTV (2nd gen), and TV OTA

Thanks y'all!

If the Harmony One already controls your components satisfactorily, why replace?

This has a much simpler remote than the One, the big advantages are the hub, Bluetooth remote capability and the ability to use your phone/tablet as a remote.

This is a lot lighter and simpler than the Harmony One.

The hub lets you control all those devices without line of sight. The Harmony One uses IR so you have to point.

Battery life is much better because it doesn't have a LCD touchscreen. I've used mine for almost a year and it's still going strong. The Harmony One is rechargeable but the battery doesn't last long and eventually goes bad. Ditto for the LCD screen.

My Harmony One is sitting in a drawer unused.

The battery doesn't last as long as it used to and the rubber on the bottom is starting to degrade. Pondering if it's worth the $50, which I think it is. Just not sure if there are any other/better solutions out there.

I don't ever get it because of the stupid placement of the buttons for pausing and going forward and all of that. Plus looks like it either lacks forward and reverse or the chapter ahead and chapter back buttons.... only has one set that looks like those. And ps every harmony 650 or 700 I get ends up wiht issues. Either firmware or buttons stopping working well.

Need friendly advice... As a cord cutter, can this remote be programmed to turn TV and AV on then as default, open the YouTube TV app?
My current harmony remote cannot, hoping newer versions have this option in the settings?

Does anyone need a numeric keypad? I assume someone does but I sure don't. I get a couple of hundred channels but somehow I seem to survive without using a keypad,
