This game is one of the most competitive fighters out there right now. It's definitely not a button masher, you're thinking of Dragon Ball Xenoverse
I really think you should had increased the level of difficulty. When feel unchallenged, one ought to push it to the next level for more intrinsic rewards. Can't play or work in easy mode or environment all the time or then boredom will come sooner than later.
I'm a casual gamer and I often felt unchallenged on this game hence I went to the hardest and CPU got me well. I trained for more execution and I got CPU. This isn't redundant nor grinding at all especially if fighting game is a likable cup of tea!
It really isn't. This guy misjudged the game based on Xenoverse!

I like Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, so I thought I would enjoy this game but it wasn't challenging and fairly basic. It was the same tireless moves over and over. It was easy win, after easy win that ended up making me lose interest.
For this price though, I'm considering it. I mean it was fun... for a minute.

Eh... even if the difficulty was increased, I still wish there was more to it. Maybe it's because it's been around $50 for so long and I believe that amount of money is likely better spent on something like The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening.
Again though, for this price I think it's a great deal. I might give it another go and try your suggestion.
I'm holding out for the physical version, maybe I'll get lucky on BF
Maybe...just MAYBE. It your call. If you really like fighting games and like Dragon Ball series then you're missing out the fun! Got the physical copy for $25 on BF last year!

Trying to decide between buying the base game vs. the discounted upgraded versions (FIghterZ or Ultimate)...
Are there any real benefits/reasons for the add-ons, or do they just provide a bit more variety with more characters to play? Hard to justify the much greater cost, but if I'm going to want them later, then it's much cheaper to buy them now.
