How incredibly confusing - but the back of the product box indeed explains that it has all of the cast and directed by Joss Whedon.
Except it was specifically Captain America: Civil War. Doesn't say avengers anywhere.

How incredibly confusing - but the back of the product box indeed explains that it has all of the cast and directed by Joss Whedon.
The Avengers was already used for a TV show and movie in the UK, so they changed the title there to Avengers Assemble to avoid confusion. In the US and most other places, the Avengers Assembled branding does not apply to The Avengers film.
Likewise, Avengers Assemble is an American cartoon and has only aired on American TV. So the branding wouldn't conflict with those in the UK who know the branding to apply to the film.
