I've had the 12.5" for about 3 years. It doesn't hold a season well at all and I've never been able to maintain one on it. Some sites mention it is black enameled on the cooking surface. I'm not quite sure on that. Maybe that's why it won't hold a seasoning but mine doesn't look enameled so idk. It's super heavy. The 12" with the lid is almost 13 pounds.
