If you don't need the USB ports you can get an Amazon Basics (which in a previous thread the consensus was that it's made by APC) model with significantly higher protection rating (4500 Joules) for the same price. You also lose the right angle plug. Trade Offs... 2 USB ports or about 1900 Joules more protection?

Don't believe the markup.. These are usually around $20 elsewhere without any coupon etc. even the 11 outlet one is cheaper than the so-called original price.

Flexible rotating power cord and right-angle plug for ease of placement
suppose to have a right angle plug in case anyone is wondering.

Edit: Actually, I think that might refer to the "plug"/cable entering the surge protector housing... lol

Edit2: Right angle, flat plug according to Amazon reviews and pictures. https://www.amazon.com/APC-8-Oult...B017VXT1E4

I got an e-mail recently that they started collecting for OH as well. I live in KY but work in OH and was shipping most internet orders to OH since tax collection by companies was not mandated. Learned through eBay that KY was officially collecting sometime this year ... I think July 1.

That being said, I don't believe anything has changed for OH (via a government mandate) so B&H must be opting in. I suspect it is to drive more users to their Payboo platform. Unfortunate choice by B&H for me Smilie Granted, we're all supposed to report / pay taxes ... but still!
