Plastic yes. Tried the espresso version a while back and found it undrinkable. Maybe I got a bad batch but I tried 3 or 4 of the pods both before and after changing the water and cleaning the machine. All tasted & smelled aweful, had to dump.

Plastics and poor quality. Sometimes get squashed in the machine

I tried these plastic lavazza pods last time and were sadly disappointed compared to the real nespresso and peets pods (the best being the crema sucra) which taste far better (and are all recycleable with the free recycle bags from peets and nesp). $15 is super tempting but I know I will regret it.
