Thinkpad X1 Yoga cannot be even compared with this Laptop because they are targeted towards different audience. X1 Yoga is a simple 2-in-1 Ultrabook with 15 W TDP low Powered Quad Core CPU and no dedicated graphics whereas this is having a full blown 45W TDP 6 Core i7 CPU and a pretty strong (GTX 1060 MAX-Q) level GPU. X1 Yoga is fr mainly office and normal activities whereas this is a Productivity machine for Professional Editing, Content Creation, similar to XPS 15. And OLED display option is not even available with X1 Yoga.

If you have this kind of configuration, the weight is actually on the lighter side and that is a good thing because in this case, they can put some decent cooling to cool the 6 Core CPU and the powerful GPU and prevent throttling.

I have the 8750H and 1050TI Max Q older version of this. Great build quality, nice having the pen input (why I bought it), nice weight for the specs, and great screen (4k non-AMOLED). I got it for 1300 and haven't really seen it close to that low since, so at 1500 with the upgrades it seems like a decent deal.

Not to TC, but for this number, I would opt for a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga (yes, I know the screen is smaller at 14"). I find the build quality to be far superior. Just my 2 cents. Thanks, OP.

Just trying to understand the comment to see if I am missing something. The similar spec and size comparable is Dell XPS 15 7590 which costs more than this (XPS lighter though as mentioned here).
