Serious question - What major laptop manufacturer is easy to deal with these days? I've heard the same about Lenovo and HP
If you can afford to wait, then it might be better to wait.

1. Technology always gets better and cheaper i.e. you will get more for your money if you wait.
2. Reduce consumption and get more use out of your current system although it might not be perfect.
3. If you are unsure of what you want, then waiting might give you more time and clarity.

Per Crucial the ram can be upgraded to 32gb and can also add a 2.5" drive on the 7586, 15.6" version.

I feel HP and Lenovo are ok to deal with. Dell customer care has been very irritating lately for me. Also I feel there product quality has degraded too. I feel Lenovo and HP still make some reliable products.

The part that gets me on any Windows laptop is the forced buying annually of MS Office. Correct me if I am wrong, but there is at least $50.00 annually just to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. I know you can use Google Docs and not pay the annual fee, but I am just so used to MS Office vs Google Docs.
You could buy Office 2019 as a one time purchase ($150) and not have to pay annual fees. Or you could buy Office 2016 from the grey market (eg ebay) for ~$10. I haven't done the latter so I can't vouch for authenticity, longevity, etc.

Corsesix.....I had not thought about either option. Great idea either route I take. I appreciate the reply.

Dell laptop deals during end of summer sales are the best. Like this one.
