I had a different model chest freezer, with a very dim green light near the bottom It tripped the GFCI multiple times. After losing too much food, I bought a GFCI with an audible alarm when tripped. It never tripped again, instead the compressor stopped working and we still lost everything.
I bought this same model a couple.of years ago at $99, it's still working fine, have had no issues with it. this is the lowest I've seen it after that.

Minor issue, but this model does not have a power on light. Those are always a good way to tell at a glance that your freezer is still working,

i got this same one last time for $99+tax. exactly year ago
works ok.i thought i could set it to lowest setting and it wont freeze things.but it did freeze things on lowest settings
shipping tip: it wont fit in 4 door sedan ex accord, sonata, camry when packed in original packaging.dont know of it would fit without packaging
I'm not seeing free shipping myself, but there are some stores nearby that have it in stock. A little bit of a nuisance but I may jump on it.
For others who do not have an immediate need, this has gone lower during Black Friday season and I would expect this to follow the same trend. It was $110 not too long ago. There is also a 7.0 Cubic Feet one that is a bit more.
For those who have a Costco membership, I've seen Costco start lowering prices / liquidating the chest freezer towards the end of the year too. They have a 7.0 Cubic Feet one that hits the low $1XX's. I don't remember the exact price.

Costco's Hisense 7.0 cuft is $129.99. picked one up last month to ferment beer and one day turn into a keezer
Looks like its $270 now, was this 129 in store only?
Not nearly that expensive in-store even if not $129. I checked for the last few months and its been around $139 at my local Costco (for now). Waiting for it to drop further. I think it's been as low as $119 (or less) but that's YMMV.
I've been thinking about getting a chest freezer, but for the garage. Does anyone have any experience with one of these in a garage? How does it perform?
Thanks!

I bought this same unit about a year and a half ago. Works great, super quiet and very handy to have a few extra frozen things beyond what will fit in the refrigerator freezer. We needed this smaller size freezer so it would fit in our laundry room. (It does have a blue power-on light. )
