No thanks. I was burned by AT&Ts grandfathered promo for Directv Now. Had a clause that basically said they could raise the rate when they wanted to.

5G won't have as much coverage area as LTE because of higher frequency band. We will have spots for 5G initially and then slowly cover block, street, town, city, state, and then whole country. Don't think because you hear 5G a lot means we are there, it's a really long roadmap which will take at least 3-4 years.

Not a good deal. Get yourself a AT&T unlock Netgear nighthawk hotspot. Sign up for the $30 unlimited plan and you can take it wherever you go it's better than this junk that station. I've been using my AT&T unlock not your hotspot for the past two years in my pocket without any problems whatsoever

Really? Is that still available for $30/30 days?
It's $35 now.

$20 due to discounts. And I can take this everywhere!
Oh, I've got one of those... an Alcatel LinkZone. It's one of my T-Mobile free lines from 2016. I take it everywhere as well. I only need to pay the $1.16 in tax every month (so, not TECHNICALLY a free line... but whatever...) Works awesome, and I use it for my whole-home internet when I'm not out-and-about.

I'd wish I could just add it to my Tesla Model S which is already on AT&T network to enable a hot spot for $15 a month. Well, that probably not going to happen.

What is the max bandwidth one could expect?

Would be funny to cancel home internet service and run everything though the car.

Subaru doesn't use OnStar. It has an equivalent Starlink but Starlink offers AT&T data plan for their in-car wireless modem also.

As long as the WiFi is coming from AT&T, I would still call and check. Many makes/models using AT&T are being offered the $15/month (not just ones equipped w/OnStar...)

That's the one that was originally $25. Then they recently upped it to $30. A rep at Best Buy just told me they've heard through the grapevine it's now going up to $35!!!. No thank you.
That because of it popularity buddy. Look on Youtube and you wil see tons of videos showing you have to bypass the 22gb thershold throttling. I set my up where the hotspot thinks I'm using my phone. LoL. I know alot of people have one in their pocket. It's beats sitting in car and getting wifi only. It's portable and you have have 4g LTE where ever you at.

Does this use the OBD-II port? I currently have mine being used for car insurance, is it possible to expand it?
Or can I order this, take out the SIM to put in my AT&T Netgear mobile hotspot device?

I got the stand alone unlimited car plan last year for $20+ taxes ($~23.50). I was able to buy a Mobley device. Mobley comes with a SIM card. I purchased a att hotpot spot device and transferred the sim from the Mobley to this hotspot. Now I have portable WiFi that's unlimited! But, I haven't used it in months. ATTs coverage in my area is not the greatest. I have T-Mobile for my cell service and they are better than ATT in almost all areas I frequent.

Imma be selling my Mobley and cancelling my plan...
