I've been keeping on eye on these, to return in stock at my Costco for the past 6-months, and it's never returned in stock.

Wondering if these are any good? Anyone has these? Appears when I was looking at it, uses batteries and a solar panel to recharge. No hardwire needed, then saw another model with hardwired needed. Wanted to inquire if these are good or ehhh for a driveway

My Dad has one. It is really bright and he likes it. He has direct sun on the panel. But it depends on how you plan to use it. If you really, really need the light to go on every time then you want hard wired.

Saw them at St Louis Park location in Minneapolis for $19.97 as well. Picked one up.

Had mine for over 14 months but it's the older version, same company. Good quality and still working well. I have it with a West facing exposure for solar panel. Works even in the NJ winter when not very sunny.
EDIT just left Costco in Wayne, nj. they have like 30 of these for 19.97. I looked and these run on 3 NiMh AA batteries that get recharged by the solar panel. my previous version has lithium batteries, so not sure about the comparable run time on this unit

Between my two neighbors on the left and right of my house, they have about half dozen of these installed on their houses. Very bright. I've been waiting for my local costco to get more in stock so I can pickup a few.

I don't know about the solar one, but I got the hard-wired one, I thought I'd share my experience with it.
They are very bright, crazy bright that I had to point them a little high.
However they dim over time, they are not as bright as they were after about 6 months, but still they work great, faster and more sensitive response then some others I had in the past, quick and easy install (you may need to get a new conduit box because mounting points did not match my old one).

I have one in the backyard that the dog set off when they go outside for their business. It's been up about a year-and-a-half and it works wonderfully super bright.

Hopefully the exterior lasts a long time. I paid a pretty penny to have some quality motion lights installed years back and the exterior quickly deteriorated in SoCal sun.
Same with a very expensive dead bolt lock/handle for outside door.
