Had mine for over 14 months but it's the older version, same company. Good quality and still working well. I have it with a West facing exposure for solar panel. Works even in the NJ winter when not very sunny.
EDIT just left Costco in Wayne, nj. they have like 30 of these for 19.97. I looked and these run on 3 NiMh AA batteries that get recharged by the solar panel. my previous version has lithium batteries, so not sure about the comparable run time on this unit
i am in NJ as well.
wouldnt you want to face them south?

Absolutely that is ideal, however the alley that needs coverage is West. I could mount the panel on front of garage with a South facing exposure, but my wife says it'll ruin the Feng shui 😱
Can anyone recommend, say an industrial strength double sided tape or Velcro rated for outside use? I'm a little hesitant with drilling through concrete to mount this.
Being inexperienced in regards to hardwiring/electrical, I picked up one of these to test out about a year ago after numerous late night crazies would wander a little too close for comfort.
I can say its been one of my favorite purchases ever since, by far.
They are so easy to install, and can hold a long charge that can last a couple of days with little sunlight in between. Have picked up 3 more over the next couple of months to round out all four corners outside of the house, plus a couple more for in-laws after they could see for themselves.
At this price this, I would pick up a hundos-worth and never look back. They have been working great as gifts!
