I'm starting a new thread since the existing one is for new line or port in.

I called Xfinity mobile customer care to ask if they are offering any promotion to existing customers to upgrade to latest iPhone 11 phones and I was informed, in no uncertain terms , that I'm eligible for $250 Visa card if I were to buy a new iPhone 11 (Max or otherwise). He even read some written promotion to confirm when I told him I was suspicious of that offer. I even pointed out their website states that a new line or a port in is required... but I was informed that is not required.

The only requirement is I will have to buy the phone at a local Xfinity store.

Recommended: Place your order for the new iPhones on or after September 20th, 2019 *IN STORE ONLY*

Try your luck at your local store. YMMV.

I don't understand the premium for storage..

Why is it you can buy a good memory card with a decent amount of storage for any Android products but iPhone you have to pay 300 for the same amount of space ?

Because of the same reason why your FREE google maps on your phone is better than a $2,000 shitty navigation system in a new car.

Will I have to change my old plan (only taxes) to the new plan (1GB at least) if I upgrade my one line? Also, has anybody been able to add lines to the old plan since the new plan has been introduced?

Yes I did when I brought my own phone and port in a google number and I am still in old plan

Yea, I'm thinking about switching from Verizon to Spectrum. Spectrum has only a $100 dollar promo but your phone also has to qualify for a trade in.

because they can get away with it. once people not fall for it would be the time all these things will get cheaper. just like why would people buy a $1,000 phone? most do basic smartphone use like talk,text, call, social media,taking photos and some internet surfing which a decent mid range phone can do at half or sometimes less than half the price.

so as long as there are suckees, there will be suckers.

If you shop on Amazon, just buy the Amazon GC for the XM Visa card amount and apply to your Amazon account balance.

Apologies, this was from when they offered $250 rebate card for purchasing an iPhone the last go round. It was some time ago. It took so long that I completely forgot about it. When it arrived, it was $500 on one card from purchasing two separate iPhones.

cool, thanks, yeah i've been pretty lucky with all the prepaid cards promos, i've received all of them, and some sooner than the 90 days. you just have to be on it and double check that is in their system a few days after activation.

I wonder if BYOD is different from buying a new phone from them with a promo. I'm also on the "tax only" plan but if I take advantage of this $250 promo they may not let you keep the grandfathered plan.
