I have the Renwed 901 upstairs and the 937 costco version downstairs. Mapping is great! I have not had an issue yet.I would recommend mapping in sections. It creates a much better zoned map.
Honestly better than the 980 Roomba a had 3 years ago.

I'd rather pay $5 more for a new one than pay $210 for a refurb. I think most would agree.

If you're comparing brands alone ECOVACS is not as good as those. However a vacuum from either of those brands with the same features (mapping) would probably cost twice as much or more so it's hard to compare apples to apples.
If mapping is important for your use this is a very good price for the vacuum but you might want to consider buying a warranty to protect your purchase. I've also never bought from this vendor before so you might want to look into their return policy if you are unhappy with your purchase and double check the validity of the manufacturers warranty when buying from them. It seems like a reputable store.
This is considerably better than the roombas at this price point. The mapping feature is great. This does not bump in to stuff non-stop. You would need to spend over $500 on any other robot vac to get close. Very happy with my purchase
btw... a vast majority of other robot vacs are all just re branded. All you need to do is look at the design and you'll start noticing it
