Alldata DIY for one year - $14.95 through 10/16/2019

AlldataDIY.com is offering a year's access for one car for $12.95 with promo code RENEWNOW19. Regular price is $29.95 per year for the first car and $19.95 for each additional car. This is factory service information provided by the various manufacturers.

For DIYers, it's the best information in my experience. It's occasionally cheaper near the end of the year by a couple of dollars, but, if you need it now.....

Note that make/model availability varies by year (2018, for example, has only a few makes available). Some "exotic" brands like BMW are not available at all.

With code RENEWNOW19 5-year subscription costs $29.95. Less than $6/year. (Credit: joe000)

Price is still coming up as normal. Do you put in promocode after you put in credit card info and press the I'm not a robot key in order to get discounted price?

Is this better than going to YouTube and diagnosing your vehicle's problem?

YouTube is quite valuable, but the videos don't consistently provide wiring diagrams, detailed OBD2 explanations and things to check, "official" procedures, and fastener torque and other specifications. Whether or not the video is correct is often difficult to determine.

You're better off just going with the (regular-priced) 5-year subscription for $49.95.

I've never understood why anybody would buy the 1-year subscription for $29.95 unless they know they'll be getting rid of the car within a year.

ADDENDUM: With OP's RENEWNOW19 code, the 5-year subscription comes up as $29.95. That's really the deal people should buy unless they're sure they'll be getting rid of their car soon.

Does anyone know why the site looks like it hasn't been updated since 2015? Look at the dates on things like the news. And they highlight that 2014 models are now available.

According to their website [alldatadiy.com]:

* Current information is available for 1982 through most 2015 model years with updates happening regularly. Unfortunately, information for BMW and Mini is not available to consumers through ALLDATAdiy.com by request of the manufacturers.

Only the top shops use this and Mitchell on demand. YouTube is a joke, only a few are the real deal.

That's just another example of what I'm talking about.
If you actually try to choose a car model, you'll see they have all model years up through 2018. But everything else on the site seems to have not been changed since 2015.

ADDENDUM: I see they only have GM and Fiat/Chrysler brands for 2016-2018. What the heck?

Hmm seems like this site is not worth it. Should be a one time fee instead of a yearly fee if its only for 1 car.

I paid the 10 bucks and bought the complete service manual for my car on ebay. I cant tell you how many times its come in handy. Tells you how to do every procedure along with every wiring diagram. Pretty much what this site provides you.
