$500 for a GTX 1050 in 2019. Get real, deal is Luke warm at best.
1050 leaves a lot to be desired and there are tons of better specced laptops for the same price range. A previous megathread had a ton of better deals if you can pin one in your area. I still see a bit in the tri-state area and the thread has been active for a while.

To compare; Walmart had the following for $399 which boast better specs, but again this is a YMMV deal which would be a lot harder to track down.
HP Pavilion 15.6" Gaming Laptop Intel Core i5+8300H, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 4GB GPU, 8GB RAM, 16 GB Intel Optane + 1TB HDD Storage, 15-cx0058wm

Best Buy typically has pretty solid laptop deals and this seems like an okay one especially with a solid state drive. Walmart did have better SSD gaming laptops for the price, but again, hard to track down.

Has 2 in stock still of the Dell G5 Gaming Laptop 15.6" Full HD, Intel Core i7-8750H, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB, 1TB HDD + 128GB SSD Storage, 8GB RAM, G5587-7037RED-PUS $549. Better gfx, better processor by a long shot, and decent SSD (half size)

I mean GPU aside can we agree that this is a solid deal for a laptop at this price point? It's hard finding a laptop for the same price spec for spec. I mean unless we're talking Chromebooks?

I mean, considering I bought my budget gaming laptop with similar specs (though mine had 128gb ssd and 1hdd) two years ago for $650, this is a pretty good deal to me. You could also upgrade the storage.

Nope, not at all. Not after everyone pillaged Walmart for awesome laptops.

So that deal is done for unless your lucky enough to find one? Nevertheless I can't find anything pound for pound for $450 or lower without it being a YMMV...

I remember buying my GTX 1050 laptop for 1000 bucks in 2017 and seeing this deal truly hurts me now

I just got the Dell G3 with 9th gen i5 and GTX 1660 ti for $550 (under $600 after tax) with the $150 visa prepaid rebate and other cash back.

A huge, huge jump in performance for $50. This 1050 is not really a deal.

I got the same deal (down to $526 after prepaid Visa, Discover CB and call to Dell to reduce price by $35), however, that deal is long gone and won't be replicated any time soon. I know there may be better deals out there but they are certainly YMMV. The next line you're going to hear is to wait for BF deals. That's fine if you aren't in need of a laptop now, but if that's not the case then this deal is pretty decent.
