I just picked up two sets from my local warehouse, at the same price ($80 per set) as is offered online. Box is well packed, no broken dishes. Quality is excellent, I did not find any defects or issues with any of the pieces. Very bright white color. Bone china is very strong and allows for thinner and lighter weight pieces than less expensive materials like stoneware. It's also microwave and dishwasher safe. Though I haven't had a chance to use them yet, I'm very happy with the sets so far...this is a fabulous deal for high quality dinnerware.

I bought this set full price ($100 in store) but hadn't opened it yet cause my wife wasn't sure she wanted to keep it but she agreed this was a price we couldn't pass up.

Already bought it online again as not sure if they will be available by the time I go back to the store as there weren't a lot in stock. I'll return the previous set I bought because my Costco doesn't do price adjustments and always make me return and buy new. Doesn't make any sense to me but that's what they do. I love them anyway!

i've been using this set for about 15 dishwasher cycles so far--and i like these a lot too. was excited to see the coupon book say it would be $20 off (which i got back on 10/2). the china is quite thin and rigid feeling, but strong. the dishes, in fact, are thin enough to use the most narrow slots in my dishwasher. although i like all the dishes and bowls--i'm not such a huge fan of the mugs personally. but my sister wanted the mugs--so that worked out. i saw that some people sell similar mug sets from mikasa on ebay, so that would have been my next idea.

on the comments, some seem to want to buy a back-up set--tempting! but with my limited storage space, i'll have to just make do. i suppose i can just keep half the set out for my family of four and replace as breakages happen. but overall--classic, simple dishes that highlight the food and seem thin but quite strong. for the inexpensive cost from costco and their return policy, it's a great deal for me.

If this set is actual "Bone China" then it does contain material from crushed bones (typically of pigs and cows). Not everyone is comfortable eating in "Bone China" dinner plates made partly from bones of animals. So people need to be aware of it.

Highly recommend finding Ultima + super strong Mikasa. It's bombproof and super durable and can go in and out of the oven. I have found it and have two sets from Ross Dress for Less totaling $80. IMHO some of the best you can buy.

Interesting. I didn't not know that. Thought bone was referring to the color.
