This is on T-Mobile

There is also the 6 months plan(3mo +3mo free) for $66, for those who want a short term commitment.

Terms also say - plan needs to be activated within 45 days of purchase!

Just spotted this; Ultra mobile is offering their 3GB/month plan 6 months + 6 months free at $126 + taxes; works out to $10.5 per month, even better than Mint $180 for a year for the same talk / text / data offer. (Funnily enough - Mint is part of Ultra, so does the left hand know what the right hand is doing?)

Additional - includes calling to 80 international destinations for free (AFAIK not available with Mint).

Gotcha's to watch out for :
How do I know if my phone and/or phone number are eligible to be used in this promotion?

Not sure if being a "Mint mobile" customer disqualifies you; at any rate, can't port numbers from Mint or T-Mo etc to take advantage of this.

Tello sells for 1gb at $10+tax. So there is more data in ultra mobile. But at the end, it depends upon network quality in your area. In my area bot tmobile and sprint are poor for indoor coverage but sprint is little better that I can atleast surf the internet which is not possible on mint mobile.

Second, most of tmobile mvno have wifi calling. I have used mint mobile and i heard it is sister company of ultra mobile. Wifi calling never worked in mint for my case. Always on forbidden.I guess they also have native visual voicemail as well.

These things are not native in tello. And support for mint have been pathetic. They never reply if you drop message on their chat bot for call back. Tried it atleast 4-5 times. On emails too they try to brush off saying your phone is faulty or sim is faulty and so on. Why I am referring mint, because I have heard they are sister company so i am guessing both will have same quality.

Edit: Ultra mobile owns mint Mobile. Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultra_Mobile

But the point is, is depriotisation same for both because i cannot use internet inside my home on mint mobile but i can use it on tmobile postpaid.
According to the website, you have 45 days to activate it

I think Mint, MetroPCS, and similar MVNO lines are not eligible for this promo per FAQ: "For those porting in, it is also required that you are not porting in from T-Mobile or another T-Mobile network carrier". Excellent deal otherwise.

So you can't activate the tmob device if it has been active on tmob in last 60 days.

How do they enforce that? It's a gsm network.

I think it's just intended to deter people from trying it.. it's going to be too cumbersome to filter IMEI based on history with specific carrier Smilie

Yes. I wonder if they have problems with sms/picture messaging like Mint Mobile, who also uses T-Mobile. I'd hate to pay for a whole year and experience the same issues.
