I just saw this pop up on my Amex offers, and thought it was some stupid phone app, but just happened to look closer and see it was actually a BP/Amaco gas app! This is much more useful to me . Essentially $10 in free gas Smilie

It appears you spend $25 via the app (and I assume linking your amex card) and you get a $10 credit. As with all Amex offers, YMMV if you see it, but keep an eye out!

Enjoy!

PSA, do not use the "register with Paypal" option. All that seemed to do was set my payment method as paypal and I still had to sign up. Also, these Amex offers can be a bit picky when it comes to third party wallet apps like paypal, so make sure you add your Amex card directly to the app after you sign up.

As an added bonus, it appears you get either 5 cents or 20 cents off a gallon for a month too, using the app!

I used to have an account with BP before the new reward program and I have to re-register for it which is okay... and I am not able to add my Amex, when I enter the # manually, I would not able to enter the security code, when I scan my card, I would able to enter it but still getting the error message to add the card...

Thanks for the heads up and this useful info. Received the offer in my card so it's really free $8 for me as these BP gas stations are a little bit pricey in my area.

My only guess would be use the 4 digit security code on the front instead of the 3 digit one on the back? Amex always confuses me when I need to decide which one to use. Normally it is the 4 digit one, but time to time that 3 digit one needs to be used too.

I just registered my Amex card (entered it manually) and it never asked me for the security code. Just asked for the card number, exp date, and billing zip code.... Are you sure you aren't entering your security code instead of your zip code by mistake?

I may end up switching once I reach the $200 level on my speedyway rewards app (the highest level cashout). It only took me like 4 years, lol! It will be nice to have other options...

A little off topic - does it mean if you use BPMe app, your gas-pump-only offer (like 4% on Citibank Costco) won't apply?

I would have to imagine that it would code as a normal gas purchase? You are just using an alternative method to pay vs swiping a card, but I imagine they code as a normal gas purchase?
