It appears that this is the older version of the Switch. The box shown has the hands and white background. That's what the older version used. The new version has a red background and no hands.
At base value, this is just $10 cheaper than the Amazon gift card deal, but is the older version. That it requires an unknown coupon code to get to a good price is sketchy.
Refurbs directly from Nintendo are the only refurb products I'll ever buy. Bought a Wii U and multiple DS's (as gifts) many years ago and they all still run strong. With that said, I agree with the other posters about waiting for a better deal on the newer version since the boost to the battery life is worth it.

Not a good deal; not recommended.
The amazon deal is $300 -$25 gift card =$275. Is there another coupon to get it down to within $10 of this at $243?
I cannot stress how much better the battery life in the new model is in comparison to the original model. If you are using it as a primary portable device, go with the new model or the Switch Lite.
But if your playstyle is more in TV mode with a little bit of handheld mode mixed in, then this saves you roughly $50 (tax difference) off the Amazon deal and this model works just fine and plays the games the same as the newer model.
Obviously if its a Xmas gift, there will be better deals on both the refurb and the new models over the next 2.5 months.

Even if you'll only use it docked, I wouldn't buy a refurbished unit from anyone other than Nintendo.

The battery is easily replaceable, but good luck finding an OEM battery.
