Not for this price. Not with a domestic 2 year warranty. Not with any dashcam that uses a supercapacitor for better operating temperature range instead of a battery.

Might grab this for the wife's car that is not used frequently so something at this price might be good. Won't do the direct wiring route like I have in my car since we don't drive her car as much and we can just try and hide the cable and plug in when needed.

not sure that's really the 'newer' version of this dashcam. it's a different share and can't be hidden from plain view like this one can...but maybe they aren't making them this shape anymore, not too sure.

I personally like the stealthier look to not have it be like a GPS screen out there on your windshield.

I'm wondering if the GPS module is really worth it (or if it can be had cheaper than the $20 on Amazon). I have a Viofo in my vehicle that has the GPS module and I know it helps with recording speed and location if ever needed. Wondering if any general GPS module will work with this brand.

My DR02d dual cam has been solid for over 2 years now. The front cam is similar to the single unit in the OP but with connections for the rear camera. People will complain about not seeing license plates far away, but to do that, you'll need a $300 4K unit.

I have the Aukey GPS plugin but don't know about using other brands. I've never seen it cheaper.

I've had this cam for about 2 years and so far it's worked well. I just wanted something simple that would be clear enough to read license plates and this does the trick.
