Ryzen 3500 will smoke the i3. No contest... plus waaaay better graphics (gaming/production) than the i3. Ryzen 5 is equivalent to an i5, but with almost double the integrated graphics power. PLUS double the ram. Pick this one, it's a no brainer.

I wish more websites would post the brightness of the screen in nits

would it be safe to assume that this amd version comes with the same screen as the intel versions of the 5000?

if so at notebook check they have this screen at just under 200 nits: https://www.notebookcheck.net/Del...211.0.html

if the panels are the same I'd suggest people make sure that that dim of a screen will work for them...

i'll look for this model in store when i'm at costco this week and see what i can find.

I see starting at 3.8lbs but the words starting at could mean there are different weights per model

Personally I would wait if I were y'all for another deal to roll out. Literally 4th deal iv seen this month with ryzen 5 3500u around 400, just wait for it to get a bit cheaper with a ips screen. Also a 128gb ssd is pretty small imo even 4 normal users so I would hold on this one.
