I was looking at the hotstar coupon codes and found bunch of them with the same price $49.87 + tax.
This is by far the best deal with additional month and no tax making it only $3.84 per month.
The subscription should be good until the T20 world cup 2020 which is scheduled in Oct and Nov 2020.

Probably only for new accout
It says
Redeem PINS at hotstar.tappp.com

And hotstat.tapp.com webpage says

Step 1. Click on Get Started to redeem your Gift Card.
Step 2. You'll be prompted to create a Hotstar account.

But they should clearly mention it on Costco description if its only for new signups

yes, you would need to wait until the current subscription expires and then use the pins.
also, use 1 bonus month pin first and then do the 12 month pin after.

if your subscription is not ending and you can wait, I would recommend waiting. Early this year they gave it for $30 ($60 subscription + $30 Amazon Gift card)

Can't we buy not use it if similar deals appear and return to Costco if not used

Hotstar website is providing 12-month subscription for $49.99 and this change in price happened only today/ yesterday late night. Till yesterday, the price there was $79.99. However, you can apply the coupon LIVECRICKET while subscribing from hotstar site and get an additional 10% discount which brings down the price to $45 for 12 months. With Costco it comes to $50 for 13 months. Both the options almost cost the same overall I feel.

I am not sure if everyone was lucky enough to get this offer earlier this year for $30. A few of the comments in that deal seem to suggest otherwise and most of them ended up paying $60 in the process. The customer care made sure that you get the $30 gift card. Well I will wait if another deal like that comes along.
