Most of the questions asked here are either in the promotion posting, or are just stupid. Read before posting.
The document tells you which items will be accepted for trade. You can NOT do a IP6, or SE, or Samsung, etc.
It really does not matter how much they give you for the trade. The total rebate you will get will total $580.
Yes, this promotion is for people adding T-Mobile new lines. Duh! Think!
Simple math tells you that trading in an XS or XR is probably not going to make sense in most cases. So, if then don't. Duh!
Nobody has asked yet, but yes the phone must be paid for. And yes it must work. And yes it must not be broken. Duh!
And yes, you must have a Costco card to pay for the phone.

Since this deal is with Costco, that might not be the case but I wouldn't risk it.

We don't care lost old phone number.
iPhone 11 = $319.00
iPhone 11 Pro = $643.00
iPhone 11 Pro Max = $751.00
Note:
1. The phone can be unlocked after 40 Days (1st Month bill should be Paid Completely).
2. Even you can cancel the line after 40 Days (i.e. once you get the rebate and also the phone is unlocked), the only caveat is, you may have a hard time jumping on the Costco Promotion next time. Some said, they were able to jump even after cancelling after 40 days, so if you think it's worth taking a risk to save around $50-$70, then please go ahead.
AT least that's what they told me when I canceled lines from the XR promo.
They said it didn't matter if I canceled half way through the billing period, that I would be charged for the full month.

Some comments say they review line activity and if they don't see the new SIM active in the new phone using the new line they won't pay out the rebate... Is this true? Could I really not transfer my current SIM over for 60-90 days while I wait for them to approve the rebate?
no
The difference is going to T-Mobile is credits and you're financing the phone over a 24 month period.
Costco and T-Mobile allows the phone to be bought outright, may have a warehouse incentive (Costco member discount on phone, a possible Costco cash card, phone accessories, etc).
Buying the phone outright means you own it since it's "paid off" hence the reason why people wait for the rebate card to arrive to cancel the line so they can't "take back" the rebate card if it's already in possession by the buyer.
PS I'd be curious if you can buy the phone outright from T-Mobile store and receive the same card. Only difference is you might not receive the same incentives vs buying at Costco warehouse.

I'd at least make a few calls so that it registers with the network, but that's just me.
