Yes, after the Costco associate takes out the phone, grab it and run out the store with it. If you are fast enough, this will work...

Most of the questions asked here are either in the promotion posting, or are just stupid. Read before posting.

The document tells you which items will be accepted for trade. You can NOT do a IP6, or SE, or Samsung, etc.

It really does not matter how much they give you for the trade. The total rebate you will get will total $580.

Yes, this promotion is for people adding T-Mobile new lines. Duh! Think!

Simple math tells you that trading in an XS or XR is probably not going to make sense in most cases. So, if then don't. Duh!

Nobody has asked yet, but yes the phone must be paid for. And yes it must work. And yes it must not be broken. Duh!

And yes, you must have a Costco card to pay for the phone.

How much does ___ cost at Costco? Easy - go to the website. Prices are listed.
iPhone 8 through Apple gets you $220
iPhone XS through Apple gets you $500

iPhone 8 through this Costco deal gets you $580
iPhone XS through this Costco deal gets you $580

You do need to bring the phone. They check the screen.

So after reading a good portion of these pages, can someone confirm this:
Only one Costco in Columbus OH sells T-Mobile. That one doesn't have any stock on hand. That means that they have to order it and no prepaid card and no additional $50 off correct?
Correct. 24 installments. According to someone, the promo was extended until the 17th, or 18th. Not exactly sure. But that's what it shows on the printed sheet they received. If I were you, I'd wait a bit and call/chat with Costco every day and ask if they have any in stock

The virtual prepaid card is like any prepaid Visa/MasterCard. You will have a 16 digit card number with exp. date and CV number. Use the virtual prepaid card like a credit card and add it to your T-Mobile account. I think you can talk to the T-Mobile billing department and pay off your phone.
You have to pay for the phone outright to take advantage of this offer (unless you order the phone). You can use a Visa card but AFAIK you can't do monthly payments?

My local costco and Tmobile rep did not accept simple choice plan. They wanted me to change to Magenta, which I did. Hopefully i can downgrade to essential after receiving gift card.

Guys, i enquired about the ways to encash the virtual card with T-Mobile. It seems we cannot add the virtual card value that we will be getting from this promotion to the apple pay.

Could someone throw light on how to use the virtual mastercard prepaid card in store or other purchase ? It seems only we can use it for online purchases ?

Have anyone tried to encash or transfer the $$ value from such virtual prepaid cards to your own account or atleast as a physical card ?

Can someone chime in..

What happens if I cancel an old existing line in my account AFTER i opened a new account as part of this deal? Will it affect the bill credits in any way? I could not find any specific answer to this and it si not listed on the terms of the promo.. it only mentions if previosuly cancelled a line in the past 90 days...

It says new line. Does that mean I can port out my existing number from Sprint or does new line mean a new cell phone number? Some people did mention that they ported out so I guess port out is counted but just want to be sure.

I spoke to rep at costco kiosk, and port in is also fine. Not necessarily it needs a new phone number.

Yes. You can also take advantage of the $50 BYOD (bring your own device) costco cash card deal since you are porting in a number from a different carrier into T-Mobile.

If the wireless kiosk rep wants to see your trade in device, you just tell him the phone's condition. All they need is just the IMEI to get you the return shipping label. Costco is not the one evaluating trade in devices so they don't really care. I've done this Costco trade in deal 4 times and no one ever wanted to see the actual trade in device.
