Yes, after the Costco associate takes out the phone, grab it and run out the store with it. If you are fast enough, this will work...

Most of the questions asked here are either in the promotion posting, or are just stupid. Read before posting.

The document tells you which items will be accepted for trade. You can NOT do a IP6, or SE, or Samsung, etc.

It really does not matter how much they give you for the trade. The total rebate you will get will total $580.

Yes, this promotion is for people adding T-Mobile new lines. Duh! Think!

Simple math tells you that trading in an XS or XR is probably not going to make sense in most cases. So, if then don't. Duh!

Nobody has asked yet, but yes the phone must be paid for. And yes it must work. And yes it must not be broken. Duh!

And yes, you must have a Costco card to pay for the phone.

How much does ___ cost at Costco? Easy - go to the website. Prices are listed.

Has anyone gotten this to work with a T-Mobile plan with a corporate discount? I'm on ONE Amplified. When I went to Costco and they tried to add a line to my account, it came up with a "flex pay" error so they couldn't add it. Said I needed to switch to a more current plan or something?
Corporate plans are excluded.

I did trade in 2 6S to get 2 64GB 11 and use the 55+ plan for two lines for $70 a month. Now I need an extra 11 to make 3 lines to take advantage of 3rd line free.

The question I have is I already submitted the rebate online and send the 2 iphone 6S out. If I change the plan to get the 3rd line free (paying $120/month), will it affect my rebates that I've submitted for the two phones above? Anyone has any insight? THanks.
I thought you could only have 2 lines total on the 55+ plans. Did I miss something?

Yes, it only for 2 lines. I want to add another phone 11 so have to move on the regular magenta plan. That's the reason I ask if any problem when switching plan.

Thanks, figured that might be the case... Would it work to switch temporarily to a Magenta plan from today until I get the rebate card from the trade-in? Then, after I would switch back to my plan with a corporate discount?

Whatever you use, do this test. Throw it across the room. Do you feel comfortable it will be okay?

As to supplying IMEI number - you are looking for trouble. I think that could be a very important tracking and process number. But - I do not KNOW.
what kind of trouble? Are you suggesting not to provide it as it is not required?

Kind of right. But small correction does change the final number.

1. iPhone 6s: people may have a used phone or can buy it cheaply say below $100. $140 is the expensive side. Let's say the fair price should be $100
2. iPhone 11: the Coscto price is 630, 10% off the MSRP
3. 3month Magenta: I would suggest to port in your current number so you don't double pay two phone lines. Say, if your current price is $30, then your net pay for 3 month is 3*($70-$30)=$120
So, the new number should be:
$630 + $100 + $120 -$580= $270.

Make sense? Don't rush to jump simply because it is a deal for others. If you don't have a trade in or you can't port in, it may not be a deal for you.
Correct, my goal here is to get the iphone 11 free and clear to use anywhere. Sounds like even after all that the phone is locked to tmobile until they unlock it. I wouldn't port my number as I have no interest in switching to tmobile.

Thank you all, I read quite a few pages to understand what I was getting into. Felt comfortable. Went to local Costco in Tulsa Oklahoma and bought the 2nd last iPhone11 64gb. Luckily I am one of those still carrying an iphone6s that shuts down for unknown reasons. So it was a great deal for me anyway. I applied for the rebate online and all it needed was a picture of the IMEI side of the box and the costco receipt. I didn't understand where the trade in comes into play if they have already started processing my rebate. If I didn't send in my trade, I will lose the $33 that was approved for my device. But I will send in anyway because that was the terms of the deal. Just curious. Overall, if it saved me a few hundred dollars, I am good. oh btw, I am a verizon customer and on a new tmobile line until I get rebate and poof the line goes away.

Just sharing my experience.
I ended up getting a iPhone 11 64gb last night and traded in a iphone 6s.

Here's some key takeaways:
  • during the process, i had to supply the imei of the iphone 6s, CSR only cared that it looked "good", not cracked and turned on
  • Iphone 11 price was $630 (so 10% off MSRP)
  • I was told that I will be getting the $580 in two chunks. $31 as a bill credit, then the remainder will be mailed to me as a prepaid visa card (not sure if that's standard)
  • Finally, CSR gave me the prepaid shipping label for the return, but declined to send the old iphone 6s out for me (not sure if that's standard either)
All in all, everything went smoothly - thanks everyone who's contributed information to the thread - it's been very helpful!

Your rebate will be rejected if you don't send in your old device. Its not the $33 that you will lose its the remainder of the $580 your expect to get in gift card as well. They started processing your rebate, but they havent completed it, have they. So they can still reject it.

I'm not sure what is so difficult for folks here to understand. This is the exact same wording as the deal from last year on Xs as well.

Yes. This is exactly how it works. This is how it worked last year and early this year as well.

I didn't follow the previous deal that you refer to. So bear with me or people like me who are first timers to this deal. Also, Thanks for helping with that answer and like I said I will send in anyway
