The online chat person told me there were now 10 iphone 11s in my two closest stores. I go down there... nothing. I guess I'll have to return these 4 trade-in phones. Sigh.

Read more than 50 pages, but do have a question about applying for new account with two new lines in Tmo for either Essentials or Magenta. Even Essentials didn't include tax and fee, I think for two lines it still costs less than Magenta (~$120/months). But only saw someone discussed about getting Magenta for 3 months and cancel it. Is there any downside for getting the cheaper Essentials plan and cancel it? I remembered that TMO didn't come with any contract.

I currently have a Tmobile plan. I called a Tmobile store and they told me that, if I want to add a new line to an existing plan using this promo, the $580 would be credited over the course of 24 months to my bill, meaning that I wouldn't be able to cancel the new line after just 3 months.

Can anyone confirm whether that'd be the case if I went to Costco instead?

Wow. How long was the time frame? Also, the kiosk reps have a sheet with all the devices that are in stock. At my store it said 10, same as what the chat person said. Something tells me they did t want to sell you the devices if the time frame wasn't long.

Did you talk with the Kiosk rep or Costco rep in the store? I found inconsistency between the list Kiosk rep had and the inventory list the store had in my case.

Call the wireless booth and speak directly with the rep and they can tell you exactly how many they have in stock.

Direct from Tmobile= bill credits. If Costco has the phone in stock and you purchase that same day and walk out with it, $580 (one time bill credit, remainder in a mail in card).

How is the $580 rebate credited? Is the entire thing given on a prepaid gift card, or is some portion of the rebate credited onto your phone bill?

If you complete the transaction at Costco the phone's trade-in value will be applied as a bill credit but the remainder of the $580 comes as a prepaid card.

Tried that. They seldom answer the phone.

Not sure what time frame you are talking about? I just asked about the phones they had in stock and they said nothing but the XR.

How much would the one-time bill credit be for? Would it be the cost of one month of service (e.g. $70 for Magenta)?

There is a such plan, but it is T-mobile only and have nothing to do with Costco. So you should talk to Cosco wireless rep to confirm the existence of such a offer, not a regular T-mobile store, who will only allure you to sign up regular T-Mobile offer.

BTW, if you are patient enough, you can see someone posted that 24month statement credit offer. It looks like this one and it is also $580 credit, but as you point out that offer take too long and almost like a contract.

No, just the value of your trade-in old phone.

All depends on the model. I've seen as low as $31 for an iPhone 6s. , the newer the model, the more in 'one time' credit you get.
