The document tells you which items will be accepted for trade. You can NOT do a IP6, or SE, or Samsung, etc.
It really does not matter how much they give you for the trade. The total rebate you will get will total $580.
Yes, this promotion is for people adding T-Mobile new lines. Duh! Think!
Simple math tells you that trading in an XS or XR is probably not going to make sense in most cases. So, if then don't. Duh!
Nobody has asked yet, but yes the phone must be paid for. And yes it must work. And yes it must not be broken. Duh!
And yes, you must have a Costco card to pay for the phone.

Also, we heard that the plan needs to be active for minimum of 6months and phone will be unlocked after 2months. Not sure if we need to followup with T-mobile for unlocking.

You don't need your own costco card, if you can borrow someone else's and just get in the door. I used my gf's mom's card to get in and open my own line.

There are no contracts with the carrier so after you get your rebate, you can technically cancel. What did they say would happen to you if you cancled before 6 months? If you're no longer a customer they can't charge you for a phone you technically paid full and clear..
