So I got lucky that my rep didn't open the phone because he was bombarded with customers.

I'm going to sell this one for a higher value.

As the phone is not opened, it will not show up on my T-Mobile account. I wonder if that will get my rebate denied? They won't have any other way to see the phone is associated with me other than the photos I submitted with the receipt and phone IMEI.
Probably.

Plus I believe the unactivated phone will lock to the carrier of whatever SIM it first sees, so it's not like you gain anything selling it unopened.

Thanks, that's what I'd thought from reading a lot of the posts but the guy kept insisting we had to keep open at least 6 months and that he wouldn't do the promo if we weren't going to keep 6 months.....
If you were in the guy's shoes and it made the difference of getting vs losing your commission, wouldn't you also be rather insistent? laugh out loud

I did this promo last year. Dropped the extra line after getting the rebate card. Saw zero impact.

Got the phone yesterday and i set-up auto-pay today. But after setting auto-pay,it stills shows as $75 and in the confirmation it says the $5 would be credited next month.
Is that how it works?
i thought the total would go down to $70

Anyone tried the below from the Wiki page. Shall we submit a another promo for $25 Advantage reward card? does this void the $580 rebate?

Any one had previous experience please suggest. Will give reps.

6. Additional incentive/discount after you join T-Mobile
Advantage Program: You may qualify $25 Advantage Reward Card due to your employer thanks to T-Mobile Advantage Program (https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-4791).
Matched employer discount: If your previous carrier offer employer discount, T-mobile may match that discount (https://www.t-mobile.com/offers/discount-program, bill of previous carrier is required). Unfortunately, my previous carrier is H2O who does not give employer discount.
Business Family Discount (BFD): If you happen to have a business line paid by your empolyer, you may qualify more generous business family discount (https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-21923).
You can as this is a completely different program they offer, based on your employer.

I opened four new lines yesterday. Mostly everything went smooth, but I've two questions:
  1. I opted for the Magenta plan, but I was told that my monthly bill will be $160, and not $140 as mentioned in the Wiki. At the time of purchase I wasn't sure where the $140 deal came from (I only knew it because it's mentioned in the Wiki) and I didn't see any mention of it anywhere in the Wireless Center, so I couldn't press harder. Upon reaching home, I found that this specific offer is in T-Mobile's official website. So I called back and asked why it wasn't offered to me. The CSR said she has no understanding of it and it could be automatically adjusted by T-Mobile.
  2. The CSR said in order to get auto pay credit, I need to use a debit card. Is that true? If it's not, can I switch my payment card to a credit card via T-mobile online account?

I'm going to call T-Mobile about my monthly charge, but I would appreciate if someone could shed some light on this before that.

Cheers!
You can use any credit card for auto pay. You will still get the discount.

Went to Costco last night and;

1. Switched over 2 lines from MetroPCS to T-Mobile.

2. Traded old iPhone 6s on line 1 with new iPhone 11, $580 rebate + $30 Costco card for financing new iPhone @ 0 interest for 24 months.

3. BYOD on line 2 to existing cell. Received $125 Costco card rebate.

4. Magenta Unlimited Plus 55 on both lines, line 1 with international calling add on. $105/month.

Paperwork was akin to a mortgage. Let's see if it all comes out in the wash 🙆🏽
You will not get both. $580+$30. $580 is only when you pay the full price of the phone. $30 for buying phone in dpp/installments.

Have all the rebate/redemption forms filled out by vendor for all 3 offers. Going online now to start getting some $ back, wish me luck!

130 for 2 lines
25 for third and fourth line.
less bill credit of 25 for third line free
less bill credit of 20 for auto pay (credit card is fine for autopay)

Net 140 a month.

Buy a $1 h2o sim and port in your t-mobile. Done this always for this kind of deal. Some of the T-mobile trade in deals thread has this information.
