Yes, after the Costco associate takes out the phone, grab it and run out the store with it. If you are fast enough, this will work...

Most of the questions asked here are either in the promotion posting, or are just stupid. Read before posting.

The document tells you which items will be accepted for trade. You can NOT do a IP6, or SE, or Samsung, etc.

It really does not matter how much they give you for the trade. The total rebate you will get will total $580.

Yes, this promotion is for people adding T-Mobile new lines. Duh! Think!

Simple math tells you that trading in an XS or XR is probably not going to make sense in most cases. So, if then don't. Duh!

Nobody has asked yet, but yes the phone must be paid for. And yes it must work. And yes it must not be broken. Duh!

And yes, you must have a Costco card to pay for the phone.

How much does ___ cost at Costco? Easy - go to the website. Prices are listed.
iPhone 8 through Apple gets you $220
iPhone XS through Apple gets you $500

iPhone 8 through this Costco deal gets you $580
iPhone XS through this Costco deal gets you $580

I have an iPhone 8 that I am in the process of getting replaced under CC warranty. The wifi doesn't enable, BT perpetually spins, and calls can only be heard over speakerphone. Cosmetically it looks fine. I'm assuming this will be fine for the trade in and that they won't examine it this closely.

Any thoughts?
Might be covered under the iPhone 8 recall program. Check it out you might qualify

One downside for all these Costco Wireless deals: Costco cannot work with [T-mobile, at least] Business Accounts; only personal.

I purchased the new iPhone (new line) on 11/14 (Thu). The paperwork from Costco tells me to file the rebate at www.t-mobile.com/promotions. [t-mobile.com] But, it takes me to the Account page for this new phone number which I am having diffuculty signing in. I have talked to T-Mobile Care and they told me that I have to wait for 24 hours for my T-Mobile ID to be activated.

Did all of you apply for the rebate after signing in to your new account ? How long did it take to have your online account created after you purchased the device?
Got my account created during purchased. The rep made up a random password for me. Maybe do a forgot password and use the email you signed up with.

I signed up/created a new account after purchasing the device and when I was submitting the rebates. I didn't submit it until 4 days afterward.

Yes, you are stuck with bill credits. You even paid retail pricing on the phone. If Costco had the phone in stock and you purchased and walked out with it, you would have saved 10% off retail pricing and gotten a big rebate card after 6-8 weeks.
How can I save the 10% retail pricing?

For all those who bought a Boost 6S phone for trade in ..are you guys deactivating account or cancelling line etc before sending the phone in ? Can someone who sent a Boost phone please confirm.
One of T&C on T mob page says , you need to deactivate the device before sending it .
So wondering what does that mean in case of a Boost device ?
It means reset and not iCloud locked. Just remove your SIM card and reset and erase all content from your phone from the settings menu.

So I got a pro max via this deal a week ago and sent in my 6s for trade in. My unit seems to have some kind of flickering in the camera app when I move to a relatively low light area. Searched all forums and tried reset but nothing helped. Any of your have this problem?

1. If I exchange my phone for a new one at my Costco, will it affect my rebate?

2. I could wait for the rebate and then exchange since I have 90 days to exchange the phone at Costco. Do I have to wait another 40 days from the exchange date to get it unlocked?

#1 - trade value is irrelevant. rebate amount with adjust to make the total $580. So if trade is $30, rebate $550. If trade is worth $100, rebate $480. Either way total is $580.

#2 - I'd avoid anything more than minor wear
Thanks, this makes it very clear.

I got the new iPhone today from Costco, but I didn't have trade-phone with me or IMEI number since I have order it on eBay and will only get it on Thursday. Rep told me he needs IMEI number to process the shipping label for my trade-in phone and he wants it till Tuesday. Is this true? Do I have to provide them IMEI number and get shipping label within 3 days?

Question for folks who bought 4 phones. I understand individual trade-in phones need its own label associating with the RMA number. But after attaching the provided labels to the trade-in phones, do you guys just put them all in one box? or ship them separately???

You can also double check that it is turned off via the Find My app on another iPhone.

I went to turn mine off before sending my phone in and realized I had never actually set it up. I then did reset and erase all contents and sent in phone. I called yesterday as they still hadn't processed my bill credit and most people on here were saying they got theirs. Turns out they were claiming my account was locked and Find my iPhone was still turned on. I double checked online and don't think it was on there but I did have some legacy phones on there that I removed. They said they will try again next week and if it is still locked I lose out on promo. I hope they didn't get my phone mixed up somehow but guess I just need to wait and see. I just can't understand how it still could have been even been active if I erased the device.

I sent them separately to make sure there is tracking for each phone.

I bought a new phone from Boost and never signed in with my Apple ID. Just bought it, reset the phone, removed the sim and sent it over. Should be good, right?
