Yes, after the Costco associate takes out the phone, grab it and run out the store with it. If you are fast enough, this will work...

Most of the questions asked here are either in the promotion posting, or are just stupid. Read before posting.

The document tells you which items will be accepted for trade. You can NOT do a IP6, or SE, or Samsung, etc.

It really does not matter how much they give you for the trade. The total rebate you will get will total $580.

Yes, this promotion is for people adding T-Mobile new lines. Duh! Think!

Simple math tells you that trading in an XS or XR is probably not going to make sense in most cases. So, if then don't. Duh!

Nobody has asked yet, but yes the phone must be paid for. And yes it must work. And yes it must not be broken. Duh!

And yes, you must have a Costco card to pay for the phone.

How much does ___ cost at Costco? Easy - go to the website. Prices are listed.

This deal seems to just bring out a ton of Indians looking to commit fraud. Call them out on their fraudulent activity and they catch an attitude. If you're offered over $2000 in bill credits and turn it down because you want virtual cards you're just showing how fraudulent you are and you need to just go elsewhere far away because your name is being passed around to other nearby stores.
No1 irrespective of nationality would prefer bill credit over prepaid card. Are all 3500+ comments on this post by Indians?

Couple of questions for the experts:

Will there be a problem with rebate if I move the SIM to eSIM, or it is better to wait for the rebate?

Would switching to esim make unlocking the phone or porting out difficult in the future? And,

If I switch to eSIM, how hard/easy it is to use eSIM for another provider after I close the T-mobile account?

You can switch to e-sim and use another sim now if the another sim is t-mobile. You will need to wait 40 days to unlock if you plan to use the other sim from the other provider. I don't think Sprint support e-sim yet but the other big 3 (AT&T, Verizon and T-mobile) do. E-sim is purposely made for easy to switch between carrier without carry the actual card.

They recommended to do this after you get your rebate.

Thanks for the reply. Just to be safe, I will use eSIM after receiving the rebate.
