I have had three of the Nine Star model and they don't last. After a while I had one that kept opening and closing and the other two stopped opening.

https://www.amazon.com/NINESTARS-...220&sr=8-2

Now the small trash can is still working, but I don't use that as much as the kitchen trash can.

Yeah, but that's two trash cans for $70. You get a kitchen trash can and bathroom or office size trash can. So if you deduct $20 or $30 for the small one the price is about the same, but that still doesn't change the fact that I had three of them and they only lasted a few years. Once the third one broke I bought a stainless steel trash can with a foot pedal to open it.

makes sense.
I got one from Costco for $49. They replaced the top/ hood but it broke again after 3 months.

Yeah, I bought the first one from Costco. Next two I bought from Amazon. I took the first one back to Costco and got a refund, but at the time they weren't selling them.

So. What's the consensus on this brand? Good or not? Was looking for something like this.
