Always need to consider the transfer fee for balances transfers, and should be included in this post.

"There is a balance transfer fee of either $5 or 3% of the amount of each transfer, whichever is greater."
EDIT FROM MAY 2021-- THIS POST IS TWO YEARS OLD. THE CARD IT MENTIONS IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE TO BE OPENED.

PLEASE STOP REPLYING TO A TWO YEAR OLD POST WONDERING WHY YOU CAN NOT FIND THIS SPECIFIC CARD/DEAL ANYMORE.

Chase Slate is only 15 months but 0% balance transfer fee.

The slate itself sucks as a card to actually use for anything other than the BT, but if you're mainly concerned about the BT, and the 3 extra months won't kill you, it saves you 3% of however much you're transferring over this... plus once you're done with the BT you can product change it into a genuinely useful card like a Freedom or something.
After years of being on airline miles cards I switched to this card. I am very happy with it. Airline miles are worth an average of 1.3 cents per dollar spent these days. This card is worth 2 cents per dollar to me as a shopper. It takes VERY little effort to redeem the 2% cash back. I enjoy the value and simplicity of this card. I find the citi web site and mobile app to be stronger than alternative bank sites and apps. I don't have the time or desire to manage multiple cards.

Are there any free $500 promotion like they used to have in CCs? Anyone know?

Needed a balance transfer option for an outstanding balance on a CC. Any better options out there? Seems like 18 months and 3% is pretty much as good as it gets.
Chase Slate. Zero transfer fee.

I think this one is a master card. I got rejected at costco the other day for using a master card. Had to use my trusted Chase Visa.
Saturday comment extension:
already have a few Freedoms, cash Bankamericard, Amazon... all paid in full... I have never paid a single dime in interest for CC or cars...now that is a deal!
For the house i had to get a mortgage (expensive seattle area) but upcoming inflation will "wipe out" debt in a few years, I keep buying stocks with every paycheck.

This assumes one can even apply, given the 5/24 rule. Chase cards are quite frequently not even considered because of folks being way past 5/24.

Why does this same crap deal keep showing up on the front page? This is nothing special unless there is a sign up bonus.

I would hope folks effectively churning enough cards to have 5/24 concerns wouldn't be carrying balances month to month they'd need a 0% offer for- but that's probably overly optimistic of me Smilie

I used to do it when first starting out. Take a BT for $20k, use it for checking/savings bonuses.

Can anyone please answer these questions

1- When does this deal expire? I couldn't find the deal expiry date.

In the process of buying a house and cant apply for new credit until closing

2- When they say 0% for 18 months, does it mean if we make a purchase now for 10K and don't pay off the complete amount in 18 months, they will charge interest for it retroactively from the time of the purchase? OR they will start charging interest on the remaining balance from the 18th month onwards?

I had purchased some stuff on a jcpenny store card and they said if we don't payoff within the 18months, they will charge interest on the whole amount from day 1. I want to make sure it is not the case with this too.

If you have a few months to go before you need to transfer your balance just wait. Says you have 4 months to complete your balance transfer and the 0% 18 months doesn't start until you balance transfer.

this is true as per my understanding, they will start charging interest on the remaining balance from the 18th month onwards

I think they specify in the balance transfer offer , the date before which the balance transfer has to be made.
