Always need to consider the transfer fee for balances transfers, and should be included in this post.

"There is a balance transfer fee of either $5 or 3% of the amount of each transfer, whichever is greater."
EDIT FROM MAY 2021-- THIS POST IS TWO YEARS OLD. THE CARD IT MENTIONS IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE TO BE OPENED.

PLEASE STOP REPLYING TO A TWO YEAR OLD POST WONDERING WHY YOU CAN NOT FIND THIS SPECIFIC CARD/DEAL ANYMORE.

Chase Slate is only 15 months but 0% balance transfer fee.

The slate itself sucks as a card to actually use for anything other than the BT, but if you're mainly concerned about the BT, and the 3 extra months won't kill you, it saves you 3% of however much you're transferring over this... plus once you're done with the BT you can product change it into a genuinely useful card like a Freedom or something.
After years of being on airline miles cards I switched to this card. I am very happy with it. Airline miles are worth an average of 1.3 cents per dollar spent these days. This card is worth 2 cents per dollar to me as a shopper. It takes VERY little effort to redeem the 2% cash back. I enjoy the value and simplicity of this card. I find the citi web site and mobile app to be stronger than alternative bank sites and apps. I don't have the time or desire to manage multiple cards.

The best option is to get whichever offers you a loan with less interest. Simple, huh?

If you have any credit cards currently offering you balance transfer, check out the terms. But during the pandemic most banks shut off the usual balance transfer offers. My Discover is offering 0% for 12 months with 3% fee. BoA is offering the same 0% for 12 months but with 4% fee. Citi is currently offering nothing. Even these are called "balance transfer", you can always transfer the loan to your checking account. If you go for an unsecure loan, the minimum APR are usually more than 5%. You have to shop around and see. If you apply for a new credit card that offers you 0% balance transfer, the risk is you may not be offered enough credit for your need.

If I need $15000, is it better to get a loan or use credit card? I have citi double and chase freedom. If I need to borrow $15000 and pay in less than 6 month, what is the best option?

When I have a huge purchase coming up, I usually sign up for a credit card with a sign up bonus and 0% for x amount of months. Remodeling a kitchen this month and the appliances are pricy so I signed up a BoA card that gave me a sign up bonus and 9 months 0% on purchases. I rarely use the financing, don't want to get in that habit, but everyone is different.

Yes I need something like that, 9 months 0% purchase, possibly sign up bonus would work perfect for me. My current 2 credit cards Citi Double and Freedom has $15k limit so I may get get similar credit limit with new card and use $10k-15k for my need and pay in less than 9 months. Do you know any offers going on right now? I prefer banks rather than the loans. Also I am not very familiar with %0 Apr but they charge on balance transfers 3-5% etc. So this Citi offer is not good I guess. Are there any card offers with less than 3 balance transfers on cards? Seems they all have balance transfer fees.. Where should I focus on when I look for offers? I am little confused with this numbers.. Thanks in advance

I didn't understand the intro 0% rate either at first. I don't do balance transfers so I can't answer that part. The most recent one I did was Bank of America Cash Rewards. They offered $200 for $1K spend and 0% intro for 12 billing cycles. So I bought all I needed to and just made minimum payments each month and when my 12 months is up (I usually do 11 to be safe), I pay it all off. You can pay as much as you want per month, just make sure to make the minimum amount. And as long as it's fully paid off before the time is up, you won't have to have paid any interest. And you do want to make sure to fully pay it off before the end of the 0%.

Here's the SD thread that has the BoA link: https://slickdeals.net/f/14753405-bank-of-america-cash-reward-200-offer-after-1k-spending-200?v=1&src=SiteSearch There might be better ones out there, that's just the one I recently did.

Can i able to transfer money to my checking account using this balance transfer? Or is there any CC available to do so
Do you ever receive blank Balance Transfer checks in the mail? I used to get them all the time. You can deposit those into your checking account, but read all the fine print first.

Let's say I am planning to send someone $10k rather than buying things online with the card as you mentioned. Can I still do with this card offers? My intention is Sending money to my checking account from this promotional credit cards and send someone's account from my checking account. After I send it, paying little by little before promotion ends. So I am not planning to buy big purchases online, just sending someone... That is what I was figuring out which one should work best for me.
For BoA offer you sent, it says;

0% for 12 billing cycles
Applies to purchases and to any balance transfers made within 60 days of opening your account

I guess it means I can do balance transfer in 2 months as well. Is that right?Confused
Besides it also says balance transfer fees 3%, I guess same as this Citi offer. Even if I do balance transfer in 60:days, do you think I will still get charged 3%? Little confused again...

It seems 3% to 5% balance fees are unavoidable with this 0% APR card offers. Never seem less than 3% ... I will likely apply the Wells Fargo AMEX offer since I just received a mail invitation today. It is similar to BoFA that comes with $200.

Is the 0% actually 0% for 18 months? IN other words, if I owe $1800 I can pay 100 per month for 18 months? I am planning to start a major home Reno project and could use this. Please let me know ASAP

If you use it as a balance transfer card, the monthly payment is 1 percent of the loan or $25, whichever is more. They are trying to trick you into using it to make purchases at 14-24 percent interest. In other words, use this for a balance transfer or for purchases, but not both.

It is kind of a scam. Get a card that has zero interest on both BTs and purchases.

If you pay it off by the 18 months. You will pay no interest. (And have met the minimum every month) same with the balance transfer. There would be a fee of $54 for the $1800 balance transfer fee, but the same rules applies for the transfer to pay off without interest.

It was rare before the pandemic but even more so now. Perhaps a credit union card.

Yes, the Man-on-the-Moon Credit Union has free balance transfers.
