Always need to consider the transfer fee for balances transfers, and should be included in this post.

"There is a balance transfer fee of either $5 or 3% of the amount of each transfer, whichever is greater."
EDIT FROM MAY 2021-- THIS POST IS TWO YEARS OLD. THE CARD IT MENTIONS IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE TO BE OPENED.

PLEASE STOP REPLYING TO A TWO YEAR OLD POST WONDERING WHY YOU CAN NOT FIND THIS SPECIFIC CARD/DEAL ANYMORE.

Chase Slate is only 15 months but 0% balance transfer fee.

The slate itself sucks as a card to actually use for anything other than the BT, but if you're mainly concerned about the BT, and the 3 extra months won't kill you, it saves you 3% of however much you're transferring over this... plus once you're done with the BT you can product change it into a genuinely useful card like a Freedom or something.
After years of being on airline miles cards I switched to this card. I am very happy with it. Airline miles are worth an average of 1.3 cents per dollar spent these days. This card is worth 2 cents per dollar to me as a shopper. It takes VERY little effort to redeem the 2% cash back. I enjoy the value and simplicity of this card. I find the citi web site and mobile app to be stronger than alternative bank sites and apps. I don't have the time or desire to manage multiple cards.

It wasn't long ago most banks didn't charge a balance transfer fee for credit worthy applicants. Now the greedy banking bastards want 3 to 5% interest up front! What good is 18 months 0% interest if you can't transfer old balances from high interest credit cards. It was fun floating balances from one bank card to another at no cost. Oh well nothing lasts forever. Just sayin'

While the cash back is 2% but this is a "naked" credit card without extended rental car insurance, travel insurance, and purchase protection and extended warranty. Since 1979, Citi removed many customer protection benefits from Double Cash card. If you rent a car, do not use this credit card for payment. Use credit card from another bank such as Capital One, Well Fargo, Chase, because it can save money from paying costly collision isnurance.
Many people did not know that DC card does not provide collision inusrance in rental car and they have to pay thousands $$$ for theft, losses, and damages to the rental car. Other bank cards may pay less cash back but with extra protection they offer better values.

There are almso no protection from bad purchase, no extended warranty, no travel and rental car insurance. Other bank cards may offer less cash back but they offer more benefits and purchase protection.

Why is this card constantly pushed at the top when it offers ZERO benefits. I ditched it when I found out after a trip that they had just removed travel protection, theft protections, price protections, everything. Better off getting a 1.5% card with all those benefits than the extra 0.5%

DO NOT GET THIS CARD

Are there any cards out there that still offer extended warranty, price protection and other such benefits that were removed from the Citi Dividend and Double Cash cards back in 2019?

I just product changed my 13+ year old Dividend card to the Double Cash card. My Dividend dollars transferred over OK and all my account history carried over with no credit check.

I think I will get more cash back overall by going with the DC card. Was there any benefits that the Dividend card had that the DC card doesn't?

I'm also considering getting a Visa card to use at Costco, but the rewards on the Costco Citi card can only be cashed in once a year, and only at Costco. I might go with the Chase Unlimited Freedom, unless there's something better?

This Citi card used to be my main driver but since they cut the benefits I moved to Alliant. Benefits are not that much better (but I believe still include car rental insurance and no foreign transaction fees). The cost is 95 per year but since I spend > 20k a year the extra 0.5 percent of cash back (2.5% total) offsets the annual cost

I looked it up and Alliant looks pretty good. Atleast for year one you get 2.5% and has all the benefits

I was surprised to see that there are basically no ZERO BT FEE cards anymore. Chase Slate is dead, Amex doesn't do BT, Bank of America discontinued their offer. I thought it would be the opposite, in this day and age.

Why in the world should these banks be lending out money for Zero interest and Zero fees? If anyone here wants to lend me money on those terms (my FICO score is 800), please contact me ASAP.

Well because after the intro period, I would probably stick around and use the card for purchases and such, which becomes a profit for them. By the same logic, why would any vendor have any promotion at all? Also, FED's interest rates are so low right now, that it wouldn't really cost them much to have these offers. That's why I'm surprised we are not seeing much action..

I loved those Zero, Zero Balance Transfers. I got a few using Slate, two with BankAmericard, and once with Barclay. I never paid a penny of interest with any of them. I would just switch from Chase to BofA then to Barclay, etc.

Of course I loved it, but it never made any sense to me. Perhaps you are right, maybe a lot of people do get stuck with 15 percent interest and can't refinance it for less. That would be quite profitable for them.
