How do you confirm, if it is i3 or i5?
If you buy one, the sticker on the side of the box will show the specs, so you don't even have to open the box to verify.

If you want to verify on the computer itself, if you right-click on "This PC" and go to Properties, it'll show the CPU name.

I have the last years version and am happy with it. I first one had to be exchanged due to WiFi cars issues which was noted by others in last years thread.
However
This new one has no Ethernet or ability to add a 2nd hard drive which is a disappointment
Wait... we can't add a 2nd hard drive? Frown

Do you need to hair dry the rubber feet before putting them back in? What's a good alternative adhesive for the feet?
Good question. Does the feet just reattach?

16gb is coming tomorrow. Anyone in need of a 4gb ram that I'll be removing?

How do you know if your store has stock or not? I wish they would show it on their website. It is 2019. Geez!

The purpose of the hairdryer is to heat up the adhesive on the rubber feet so that they are easier to remove. To reattach them just stick them back on the spot you removed them from.

Yes, I installed it and let it take care of all the driver installations.
I would also go through the list of drivers under"device manager" and do a manual driver update. Further, I have Iobit Driver Booster on all my machines and it does find newer drivers than Dell's app.

if upgrading the SSD costs 40 bucks wouldn't it be better to avoid the trouble of opening up the laptop and just buying this model for a little more? https://www.costco.com/hp-14%22-l...11810.html

Bought this in store today, box said i5 and task manager agrees. Fast computer, definitely I would reccomend upgrade to 8 gb ram though. Just netflix or general IE with 10 tabs open I was using about 80% of ram available.

Keyboard isnt great, but I think good enough. When typing the case does bend a bit. Imagine you have a paper sheet and you are holding it with a little slack, typing on the paper makes the paper bend in the middle.

Display isnt great, but I think good enough. I don't plan on watching netflix with it or anything, just IE and word. Its dimmer than my other displays I have and has black crush when watching movies (most displays have this btw.)

Im undecided on whether I really like it or not.

For $80 more after buying a SSD, I would pick this one instead of the more expensive one.

I am seeing an issue with the fan, it seems to be running all the time even thought the BIOS setting for the keep fan on is disabled. This is really annoying and I might return it for that reason.
