Here's something to further sweeten up the Walmart Motile THX deals. Apparently you can select to return the backpack and mouse if you don't need them but want to keep the laptop. Honestly I don't need the backpacks and mice so I might just do this.

At $280 for the R3-3200U bundle, if you returned the backpack/mouse it would make the cost of the laptop $202!

At $400 for the R5 bundle, if you returned the backpack/mouse it would make the cost of the laptop $327!

I haven't tried this yet but it is available in the Walmart app as an option for returns. That's a pretty freaking great price for a 14", 2.55 lb, FHD, IPS, backlit kb, upgradeable, 4k60hz HDMI port laptop!

Just bought 3. 2 will be gifted. Retail box states iCore 5. Awesome deal!

Oh I tested out the keyboard. It types fine and screen is very sharp.

Now waiting for great deals on RAM and NvMe

There is a space next to the battery where a 2.5" drive would fit, but if you look at the photo I attached of the inside of the back cover you'll see that there's a lattice-like grid on it to give that empty space some rigidity. I haven't tried, but it looks like you cannot put a 2.5" drive there.
Could it fit thinner 7mm or 5mm thick drives? Does it even have the SATA and power ports? I was trying to see on the pictures you posted, but don't see any hookups for the 2.5" drive.

I read through most of the posts, but didn't see anyone state how long the battery life is with normal usage. Anyone have an estimate?

Bought this in store today, box said i5 and task manager agrees. Fast computer, definitely I would reccomend upgrade to 8 gb ram though. Just netflix or general IE with 10 tabs open I was using about 80% of ram available.

Keyboard isnt great, but I think good enough. When typing the case does bend a bit. Imagine you have a paper sheet and you are holding it with a little slack, typing on the paper makes the paper bend in the middle.

Display isnt great, but I think good enough. I don't plan on watching netflix with it or anything, just IE and word. Its dimmer than my other displays I have and has black crush when watching movies (most displays have this btw.)

Im undecided on whether I really like it or not.
Just out of curiosity, what displays are you comparing it to?

Has anyone tested the HDMI port output to a 4k tv or monitor? Will this output 4k60hz? I understand the official Intel spec says 4k120hz but has anyone actually tested the HDMI port's resolution output? I'm trying to get confirmation before I go buy this.
I can confirm 4k 60hz. I dont think there is a 4k120hz panel out there, if there is it must be super expensive

Thank you so much for confirming HDMI 4k60hz!!!

I can buy this and hook it up to my 4k tv with confidence.

120hz will be the "luxury" refresh rate at this point but would be cool to know as well.

I did a clean installation on a new SSD and all of this stuff still got installed through the Windows Update. I just disabled the HP ones, but i'm keeping Windows Search, that should not take up to many resources once it has indexed everything.
Could you please explain how to transfer to OS on a new SSD hard drive ?
