For those unfamiliar with the technology, air "fryers" are a bit of a misnomer. Nothing's actually getting fried (to fry you actually need to submerge the food in hot oil). These are really just super compact convection ovens where hot air is circulated all around the food. They're great for cutting down cooking time of anything you would normally put in an oven (chicken nuggets, cheesy bread, etc.) and great for reheating previously fried foods. For the latter, it never tastes quite as good as when it was freshly out of the fryer, but it gets it dang close.

Also, I do not recommend putting food on foil in this thing. The tray has holes and is there to help circulate the hot air all around including the bottom.

Also note that your cooking time will be drastically decreased when compared to oven cooking times, so take that into account when setting the time and temperature.

Hope that helps someone!

I have this and love it. Ordering a couple more for gifts.

I don't recall getting TWO crisping trays when I bought mine. That must be a recent change.

Anyone know much about this unit? My wife and I use a Cozyna. We like it, but the handle broke.

Very nice air fryer. Bought one last year before BF and it was the best purchase for cooking at home. We still use just about every day. Makes cooking fast and easy, and the food tastes great.

Very good air fryer coupled with Costco's outstanding return policy. Now it's even cheaper than their BF price? Looks like a no brained to me.

Very slick deal indeed!

Have you tried cooking bacon in it yet? It comes out perfect every time, plus the grease is automatically draining off.

Me personally? I really try to avoid the TV Infomercial brands.

I suggest getting the biggest air fryer you can. IMO the extra volume helps cook the food evenly if you're only making 1 or 2 portion servings. But honestly who's eaten a whole bag of fries and not feel too guilty about it? Not I.woot

Yes, I have tried bacon with it. Leave it in for about 3-4 minutes at a certain temp.

How easy is it to clean up? Is it non-stick and will the non-stick hold up over time?

I bought a NuWave Brio years ago before air fryers "were a thing" for most people and while it's ability to cook stuff up nice and crispy has been pretty good, it can suck cleaning it. Stuff sticks to the wire frame on the basket and the non-stick portion of the drip tray is no longer non-stick.

The Brio (and the Phillips) are the only air fryers (except for maybe the oven-types) that have a mesh bottom for the basket whereas everyone else uses nonstick plates with holes or slits. This significantly increases the airflow to the bottom of foods and helps get it crispier without have to shake/turn as much.

I have read that people have issues with the nonstick coating flaking off on the Brio so you should be gentle washing it.

But both are great air fryers and since this one is from Costco you can return it should you ever have any problems with it in the future.

I am going to get one of these too until I saw the S/H fee online
I did a online chat with costco's online service and they found these are also in-stores too and the same price as $49.99
going to get one tomorrow or this weekend to save S/H fee.
you can ask online to check your area's inventory and price too.
