For those unfamiliar with the technology, air "fryers" are a bit of a misnomer. Nothing's actually getting fried (to fry you actually need to submerge the food in hot oil). These are really just super compact convection ovens where hot air is circulated all around the food. They're great for cutting down cooking time of anything you would normally put in an oven (chicken nuggets, cheesy bread, etc.) and great for reheating previously fried foods. For the latter, it never tastes quite as good as when it was freshly out of the fryer, but it gets it dang close.
Also, I do not recommend putting food on foil in this thing. The tray has holes and is there to help circulate the hot air all around including the bottom.
Also note that your cooking time will be drastically decreased when compared to oven cooking times, so take that into account when setting the time and temperature.
Hope that helps someone!
Wow. $10 cheaper than Costco's BF Price!
I have this and love it. Ordering a couple more for gifts.
I don't recall getting TWO crisping trays when I bought mine. That must be a recent change.

I just returned mine to Costco. The basket is not dish washer proof. It is different from the equivalent model sold by other retailers. The handle does not detach. Even the manual is different.
I'm looking to get one for myself and as a gift... So the costco one basket isn't dish washer safe? Is it easy to clean? Are the other ones dishwasher safe?
I'm new to air fryers...Which do yall recommend??? I do want easy clean up as well
This thing is as loud as a turbine and still smells of burnt rubber after few cooking sessions. Wasn't big enough to make a batch of chicken wings for my family of 4. I'd recommend a small convection oven over this.
I'm returning this to Costco. I'll stick to using my oven. Slower but more flexible.
I debated on this one and the 635 from Kohl's/Jcp. I prefer the removable inner basket as I've owned airfryers in the past. But the Costco price and return policy are untouchable. So, I purchased this from Costco this past weekend. I stupidly turned it upside down to get my tater tots out and the inner crisping tray fell out and burned my hand. Be very careful and don't be an idiot like me and use tongs to get things out. Whatever you do don't turn it upside down. also if you're buying this as a gift and giving it to someone let them know not to turn it upside down I'm sure it's written somewhere in the instructions but again as I mentioned, I'm an idiot and didn't/haven't read them.
It's still on sale in-store, at $49.99 if you can find one. I just bought one today. My store had a new pallet of it this morning but it was selling fast.

Yep, there were three or four left at my store for $49.99. Grabbed one - seems like a very good deal. Might go back and get another as a gift.
The one which I bought is too loud. Everyone experience is same or I have a defective piece?
Too loud as compared to what? Seems some are bothered by how noisy these particular air fryers are. I wonder if the placement/location would be a factor at amplifying or directing the sound making it louder for some rather than others. For what ever reason I'm not bothered by the noise even though it's a bit on the loud side to my ears, nor bothered by the loud beeping when the timer is up. I have it sitting out in the open backed by only one wall, not under, in, or next to a cabinet.
