amazon gift card good as cash for me. kinda tempting. I think i'll keep my pixel 5a a bit longer. still like the headphone jack and real fingerprint reader. got my wife the pixel 8 for $450 a month ago so this still seems just a tad expensive.

For $100 difference, I still prefer Pixel 8 over 8a. Pixel 8 will also have a better resale value than 8a.

Actually Google deal is not bad. You can trade in 7a for $200 and 6a for 180 plus 100$ gift card. 6 a is almost 2 years old and on Swappa it goes for around $200 minus shipping and fees making close to $160. Considering that 8a has several improvement in processor and camera with addition of wireless charging it is much better phone comparing to 6a. And keep in mind that 2year old battery is going to need replacement soon

More like $150 more because you get a $100 gift card with 8a purchase but not with 8 purchase.

I'll wait for the Pixel 9 Pro.... my 7 Pro still works well enough... and I love the zoom camera.
