Is this for the left hand or the right hand?
At $69? I think you are doing it wrong.

I ended up buying 2 dumbells, a bench, and the stand for 266 before tax. Be sure to use any % saving cc's, ibotta, etc. on top of it. I believe ibotta pay can give you 1% back now. Wish I thought about that when checking out.

I own a pair and these are excellent and high quality. Only thing is you CANNOT drop or slam them.
It's only 52.5lbs, you shouldn't have to drop or slam them

1090s are awful go with powerblock if you need heavier than 52lbs
First, why do you feel that the 1090s are awful?

Second, PB's look like it takes longer to change the weights. Having to pull the pin and reset it vs these just rotate the dial. I do a lot of the Beachbody workouts and need something that I can change extremely fast. I have these 552's and LOVE them. I'm now to the point that I need more weight and have been watching for a 1090's deal. Can you give more details as to why you like the PB's better? TIA

Local Walmarts have these for $138. Not the worst but not close to the deal that I got previously ($250 for the pair). If you can get them for $100 or less (each) that's an easy impulse buy!!! Great find OP!

I got the 2 pack for $200 a few months ago and do like them a lot, this is a great price for these (note that even after being used they still sell for $200 on Craigslist often).
One thing I will note is that they are long/wide. I was discussing with my son about his lifting with his wrestling team and he grabbed these to lift and said it felt really different that the dumbbells at the gym. I still like these for home use but it is something to consider if you want a more compact weight set.

Is that 149 on the website or in store? It'll always show the higher price on Walmart.com.. but the price on brickseek is often right after they scan in store

As an owner of these i'll try to answer some FAQs..

1. I think $200/pair is a good price for these, so if you can get it for $69 that's a great deal.

2. These only go to 52.5 lb so if you're slamming these on the ground, you're doing it wrong.

3. Can't speak for the 1090, but these do not feel like traditional dumbbells based on length. So i can see why a person would say 1090 is a no go, as the length could make heavier weights unwieldy at those weights. Probably better off with iron master at that point...the switching isn't as easy, but heard they are the most similar in feeling to traditional dumbbells. or just get these 552s and go to loadable dumbbells if you have plates in your home gym.
