Lands End is a classic brand with great reputation for quality products. Think of them as banana republic for clothing as it's not high end but a step up from jcrew/gap
In terms of quality(sturdiness), I actually rate them above Banana Republic or Jcrew, but the design and fit is another story. They're not in the same class when it comes to being fashionable but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. I think they are on the opposite end of the spectrum as brands I personally can't stand that basically make disposable clothing (i.e H&M, Express, Forever21...)

Yeah, I bought a down jacket about 14 years ago, and its still holding up really well.

return policy is kind of crappy with all the store closures.
I think these can all be returned to Sears....but I guess ditto on those store closures, too!

Yes it's a PIA to return these. Either you gotta pay to ship or you gotta make a journey to your nearest store which might be days away.

Rusk parka is also on sale, and it's supposed to be even warmer. Anyone have a photo of what the rusk parka looks like on a person? Can't find a single one.

I can confirm Lands End has been around a very long time and their quality is very good. I was going to bite on this but I live in San Diego and can't foresee myself in cold enough weather to need this, it would be overkill.
