For those who are commenting that a sound bar would be better - absolutely no way a sound bar is better than a 5.1 setup. Physically it's impossible for a sound bar (even Atmos) to create an enveloping sound experience the way a dedicated speaker (even 2.1) system can. I just came from a LG Atmos system and was very disappointed. For the price this seems like a good deal.
I bought the SL10YG Atmos sound bar and it was slightly better than the tv speakers. I could not hear any over head effects through the upfiring speakers and I have a low ceiling. I then heard a 15 year old 5.1 system, with an old Panasonic AV receiver and was blown away with the difference in sound. For $150 + a cheap receiver, you cannot go wrong. Atmos sound bars are close to the $1000 mark and are all marketing hype in my opinion.

Was looking for a set of speakers for projector. Can someone advice how good these are ? Or are there better alternatives on similar budget. Reviews in Amazon looks ok.

Your general statement is true, but there are certainly highend soundbar systems that are better than this. Just look at this sub, 60w!!? Oh and you still need a receiver for this. So yes, get 5.1 but no, dont get this. Its a HTIB which really arent much better than soundbars and CAN be worse.
Is this better than Vizio 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos Home Theater System for a home theater?
I have a Polk 5.1 version of this in my 12×15 media room which i love. Sounds move around effortlessly and immerses me in whatever show or game Im playing. Sure Atmos and high wattage systems offer more buy how many films or rooms are really set up for that? Very few and can safely say this was the best $150 ive ever spent on sound. Oh and soundbars are crap because they dont offer the depth or feel of surround.
