It really does depend on the application though -- for drills and batteries (10-15 pound total weight), I think the included foam allows you to provide much more secure transport than having them bounce around in the beefier model. But hey, it's Packout -- 'to each his own' is kind of the point.
Oh! One thing I just found out when I picked mine up -- Milwaukee gives you two pieces of foam with the $40 model, and it fits any of the beefier boxes as well. So I split them up, and am in the process of customizing my new medium duty boxes (with one piece), and my existing heavy duty boxes (with the extra pieces). Not bad at all, when the alternative is to shell out $25 for JUST THE FOAM [northerntool.com].
If you get their flyer, they usually have similar coupons to this -- but it's a physical coupon.
