I will say that these were/are my first and only LIFX bulbs. They've definitely been enough for me to want to go to LIFX for all my bulb needs.
I did pick up 5 packs of these from Home Depot for $40 a piece last night!

I've just recently tested them back and forth. The lifx system isn't worth changing out of the hue system - especially since the white bulbs for hue have been showing up for 10 bucks lately.
As well - lifx has a delayed start up time if you ever use your switch, along with crowding your WiFi.
Just my opinion - but I would stay in the zigbee world

I have both. LIFX are much brighter. Both respond equally well to Alexa and Google home. Setting up lifx bulbs is more involved that setting up a hue bulb. And if you change your wifi SSID, then you need to go through each bulb to configure it. Hue does not have that problem
