anywho, not such a great deal. Have gotten zooz zen24 toggle dimmers for 21.99.
This is not a dimmer, and for the same 30 bucks, I grabbed the presale inovelli dimmers(NO Neutral), now that's got some bang for the buck. Notifications, options configurable right from the switch.
So for 30 bucks I expect more, besides most HA gear is overpriced, IMHO.
I guess if you're not a really cheap bastard like me, then this is a decent deal
Line and load are interchangeable. also narrower to fit in multi gang units

Are you comparing wifi to z-wave or z-wave to z-wave?
Z-wave to z-wave. When you go full bore home Auto, z-wave is the way to go

Note to others: Be careful when doing a price comparison that you are comparing apples to apples. Dimmers are more expensive than switches. Also, Jasco/GE confuses matters by also labeling the generation with the tabs Enbrighten even though that name was launched with the now current generation. And finally, they are calling the generation with the tabs generation 1, while there was also a Z-Wave (not Z-Wave Plus) generation that came before it.
All that said, these are very good switches, and may be your only choice if you need to match other switches that are not white. I've got them all over the house.
I just had a "pre 1st Gen" GE Zwave (model # 12724) die on me after a recent power outage. I saw the Gen 1s (14291) @ $ $29.99 but opted for the newer Gen 2 (46201) @ $34.99. Both Gen 1 & Gen 2 are Zwave Plus switches.
I will use the AE extended warranty to get my money back for the failed switch.
* auto-sensing line & load (it can occasionally be a hassle figuring out which is which in your home wiring),
* the ground has 2 holes/connectors, so you can chain them in multi-gang boxes instead of having to run a separate ground wire to each (saves space & makes easier to fit)
* they have the new S2 Z-Wave security (SmartThings will now warn you when hooking up a non S2 device)

I can see zwave plus being great for something battery powered or security being an issue for a lock. If someone hacks my kids lights, not a big deal.
Edit: they must be pulling from newer stock in some locations. $29 got me the v2, which I assume was because of the next day shipping.
