Need at least an iPhone 8 to trade in so it's a wash with the last deal

If you read the fine print, says iPhone 7 or iPhone 7+ in there

Their CEO is leaving. I wonder what the new guy is gonna do. I hope they don't turn it worse than it is.

"qualifying plan" is a no go for us grandfathered on simple choice, making the last deal much better.

Any idea how long this will go for? I need to find an iPhone 7 first. (Mine is a 6s and I need to keep it anyway).

It's NOT much better than previous deal since even though amount raised from $580 to $700 the model for trade in also went from 6s to 7. At Costco it makes even less of a deal since it takes it $580->629(price of 11). If they give full $700 regardless then it's decent deal especially for someone who wants pro or pro max especially if bought at Costco since the price is slightly reduced already.

I don't know about the other carriers but these T-Mobile trade in deals are a borderline total scam, bait and switch. I have done them both twice and each time, it required no less than 10 calls each time to straighten out my account, each time spending about 25 min on the phone. In the first case, they wouldn't even honor their deal because they said my trade in was locked (to friggin Tmobile!!!.) After a whole bunch of pissed off calls they denied the trade in because they said the phone had not been fully paid off. I had bought a cheap used iPhone 6 direct from Newegg to trade in and apparently, Newegg doesn't check phone status before reselling and the deadbeat who owned it had not paid it off. At that point, I was stuck with my iPhone 7 cause the return date had long expired. So no trade in offer. T-Mobile 1 - Me 0.

The second time was this year. I got an IPhone 11 and traded in an IPhone 7 for $700 (same deal as this). (This time, the Iphone was totally mine and fully paid off and fully functional. Couldn't make up a reason to not honor it there.) So yay, they gave me my bare minimum $75 trade in upfront - woohoo. Then the problems started: the incompetent Imbeciles opened up two lines for me, not one. And then had big issues getting my number ported. After multiple calls, they still hadn't straightened out my account. This is month 2 after my purchase and I still do not see my $700/24 month credit on my bill. Each time they say I'm eligible and each time they promise they'll fix it.

I don't hate on very many companies - life's too short. But if I could nuke T-Mobile, Apple, Electronic Arts, Cablevision. I would do it in a second.

Sounds like I can trade my wife's iPhone xr in for an 11 for the price of tax. If Costco does this promo I'm doing it.

Your issue is wasting your time with Tmobile phone support. They are a bunch of morons with no idea of whats going on. I always contacted them by facebook or twitter. They are great and usually resolve my issues within minutes without to much fuss.

October 4 they had a much better deal where you had to port a line. You just pay Google $3 and unlock a Google Voice number and you got $700 credit for a 6s/6s Plus. This deal currently is terrible and esspecially considering it's a BF deal.

10/4/19 Port in required, $700 a new iPhone trading in one of these.

$700 off

iPhone XR

iPhone X

iPhone 8

iPhone 8 Plus

iPhone 7

iPhone 7 Plus

iPhone 6s

iPhone 6s Plus
