Best Buy has $300 off Pixel 4 and XL. This is their pre Black Friday sale which is $400 off. Note, this is a discount and not a bill credit or a gift card. However, you do have to pay tax on the regular price. Carrier activation is needed with Verizon, AT&T and Sprint. Note, you can pay off the remaining amount early but some carriers like Verizon need you to wait 60 days before unlocking.

Agreed that it does look better but the Pixel is better in other ways, including the camera, 90 Hz and stock OS. I have a S8 now and plan to upgrade to the Pixel 4 XL. If you add a line or have a new account with Verizon, you cannot beat the $360 price for the 4XL.

I'm confused. Why would you not just wait 1 more week to get an extra $100 off?

What about cancelling the line?
Can it be done immediately? Or do i have to do 2 months of bills?

You cannot cancel immediately with Verizon because they will not unlock it. They have a 60 days policy.

Maybe others can chime in about ATT.

True, would be ideal to wait for few more days. But some might not want to deal with holiday rush especially if switching carriers

After they dropped support for the first pixel after a 3 years...that's enough to keep me away from the pixel line.
Seriously, they upgrade to Android 10 and then stop security updates? That makes no sense. Meanwhile, S7 is 6 months older and still getting security updates. Weird...

From past deals, people canceled right away and the device automatically unlocked after 60 days of activation. The device does not have to be active on Verizon for the whole 60 days.

So I have to be a monthly bill paying customer for 60 days?

I thought the 60 days was for unlock?

That's what I thought - at least in the recent past - you cancel your line immediately & wait 60 days & the phone will be free to use elsewhere.
Essentially you are getting the discounted phone price + 1 or 2 days of a prorated libne bill & then wait 60 days to use it on another carrier.

Seems like you can cancel and it will be automatically unlocked after 60 days.
