The normal holiday discount was at $149. This additional drop makes it a slick deal. No questions asked replacement policy and the box is sturdy without wasted space. Has quick release ratchets compared to the 173-pc Dewalt set at Costco. Has more combination wrenches than the 226-pc Dewalt set from Home Depot.

was bored at work, compared Dewalt Costco, Lowes Kobalt, and Home Depot Husky set here:

DeWalt sticks to 6pt only, 49% is straight sockets. provids a few deep sockets but not too many in the 1/4 size
Kobalt throws in a lot of 12pt sockets with only 6pt deep in the 1/4 size.
Husky provides deep sockets in both 1/4 and 3/8 variety, bigger selection in the 1/2 size but only 12pt

The one that was $149 was actually a 270 piece set. I saw a stack of the 268 piece sets at HD that said hold for Black Friday.

This was on sale during previous years' thanksgiving sale for $99, $129, $149,etc. This is as low as it has ever been according to previous slick deals. there are some 12-point sockets, but mostly 6-points, so that is good. It is $99 at my local HD, Might check it out.

Grabbed one! Great deal on some really good tools in a nice case.

Look around at other Home Depot's in your area. For a reason I can't explain, some have them for $199 and others for $99.
