When adding the Time and gas used to get to a B&M Lowest or Homer Depot, then, YES, this is a better Value.

For many, like A REAL Contractor Pack of 10 or more, you'll probably get a better Deal from another source.

1 to 5, this is your Deal, IMO.

The reason they are cheap is because it's no longer code. Code requires tamper resistance.

Can you explain why NEC now requires outlets to be tamper resistant? And if NEC requires outlets to be tamper resistant, how can retailers still sell out-dated/non-code outlets?

Come on man. Just because it's code people can still do it. You don't have to follow code if you do not want to. However it could hurt your resale. Someone could make you upgrade for them to buy it. However if you don't have kids then it's your funeral. But here you go.

Tamper resistant plugs have to be in areas where children can get to them. It is still legal to have regular plugs in areas like an attic or behind a microwave.

Microwave needs to be gfi if it's in kitchen.

Not necessarily. It could be downstream from a GFI or on a GFI breaker.

Also, (residential) kitchen receptacles should be running 20amp, not 15.
